Company Overview

Talisman Interactive was formed by a group of senior designers, developers and business people with the goal of creating a new approach to delivering on the mission of venues around the world. Our team combines degrees in anthropology, computer science, history and fine arts with a broad range of professional and personal experiences to ensure that we support your mission.

We employ a flexible team approach to augment our core competencies in interactive design and development to deliver the highest quality solutions. Our teams have delivered a range of projects that incorporate not only advanced technologies such as 3-D visualizations and animations but multi-lingual, multi-cultural support.

Headquartered in Manayunk, one of the prime creative centers of the Philadelphia Region, Talisman Interactive harmoniously blends technology with creativity to deliver innovation through imagination. It demonstrates leadership through its active participation in such organizations as the Sustainable Business Network, e-Consortium, Art Directors’ Club of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Flash MMUG.

Principals

Donald Fisher

Mr. Fisher has over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry. Previously he was CEO of Axiom Studio, Inc. where he lead the company from startup to #18 on the Philly100 fastest growing companies.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he has been involved with a number of international and startup firms in the high-tech arena and brings a wide range of business skills and creative experience to the position.

James Flaherty

Mr. Flaherty comes from a varied background, from developing database applications and Director CD-ROMs to producing brochures and annual reports for Fortune 500 companies. For the past 5 years, he has focused primarily on the web and has created a methodology for more efficient Flash project development, successfully implemented in many of the firm’s award winning Web sites and interactive exhibits. Prior to joining Talisman he worked at Axiom Studio as Art Director, and has also held a variety of technical and design positions with advertising and consulting firms. Mr. Flaherty holds a Bachelors of English and Computer Science from Rutgers University.

Craig Johnson

Mr. Johnson has provided the creative design and direction for more than 80 award winning interactive multimedia programs, videos and films. These efforts have focused on the successful application of innovative media technology for interpersonal, corporate and inter-cultural communication. Mr. Johnson’s in-depth experience in developing multimedia applications include productions for trade exhibits, museum installations, visitor centers, public access kiosks, interactive ATM and Gift card machines. His client list includes: American Express, New York Stock Exchange, The Smithsonian, MCI, UNICEF, and Verizon.

Michael Mcdonald

Prior to joining Talisman, Mr. McDonald was the Chief Creative Officer of Axiom Studio, a firm he Co-founded in 1995. He is well known and highly respected within the Greater Philadelphia creative community. He received his BFA from the Temple University Tyler School or Art. His work and approach have been featured in several international design reference books including WWW Design, Simple Web Sites, WWW Flash Design and Interface. His personal portfolio “gravicadesign.com” was recently nominated as a finalist in the Flash Film Festival 2004 and his work was also featured in the Japanese interactive magazine - Web Designing.

Michael has served on the board of the Art Directors’ Club of Philadelphia since 1999. He was actively involved in re-establishing that organization’s annual awards program, helping to invigorate Philadelphia’s creative community. He is actively involved in multi-media experiments, pushing the boundaries of the current on-line world. Current interactive projects have been featured in Print Magazine, Graphic Design USA, NetDiver.net and Macromedia.
